Dog training For Entertainment
Different training methods are required
when dog training for entertainment
If you think that your dog has character and could possibly be a star in movies, then you should
consider enrolling them in dog training for entertainment. This is an excellent way for your dog to get the
training needed to make appearances on TV shows and or small movie parts.
This is not to say that your dog is going to be the next Benji, but it does not imply that your
dog cannot do it at all. All it is going to take for you to find out is the willingness to train and that one lucky
break.
Lights Camera Woof
Dogs have been used in entertainment for many years, and dog training for
entertainment is something that helps these dogs is ready for the big lights and stage of movie work. There
have been many shows that were specifically made with a canine star in mind, and without the efforts of the great
trainers and handlers these days many of these shows would simply not be around.
Whether you have decided that you want your dog to do small parts or even a big bit in a film,
you are going to need to understand that this dog will need training. Whether it is a detailed training program or
something simple and tailored specifically for your dog, the fact remains that without training they will not even
stand a chance.
Good trainers know what it takes to make the dog successful, and if you want to see any success
with your animal you will want to scout around for the best possible trainer.
Not Like Other Training Methods
Dog training for entertainment is actually not like any other training method out there. This
type of training is not designed to teach your dog how to potty outside or walk on a leash, rather this type of
training is designed to get the dog to follow very specific cued commands. This type of command is the one you
would expect on a filming set, or on a location.
If the dog is familiar with this type of setting, it will just do what comes naturally for them.
The dog will not have to sit and wonder what they are supposed to be doing, and there will be no confusion between
man and dog. This allows everything that the dog is involved in, to run smoothly and without a hitch.
Small Time Entertainment
Sometimes people will elect to take their dog to dog training for entertainment classes, as this
will allow the dog to be playful. Many people see something in their dogs that perhaps many other people outside
their home do not see.
This is how many dogs actually get noticed however, by producers or directors for TV series or
movies. Sometimes you can find scouts that have been sent out to the classes to watch for the next big thing, if
they do not find your budding star worry not, as the dog will still have a great time.
