“Who Else Wants A Happier, Healthier Dog?”

Dear dog lover,

If you're like most dog owners, you're probably not enjoying your dog as much as you could. People get a dog with great enthusiasm, but after just a few months, walking the dog becomes a routine and taking care of him a chore.

The problem with so many family dogs is that they're "passive". They become more difficult to handle, and instead of being a joy, taking care of him becomes more of a chore.

The fact is that the only way to have a healthy, fun and enjoyable relationship with your dog is to keep him involved in everyday life.

The best way to do that is with fun and useful training commands (And I'm NOT talking about Sit, Stay and Heel here!)

In the wild, dogs live in packs. Every pack or group of dogs has a leader, the Alpha dog. This Alpha dog makes sure the rest of the pack is secure, he leads them to food, comfort and safety. In return, the dogs help the alpha dog and let him decide over the pack's fate.

And in your household, your dog sees you as his Alpha. You're the leader!

You feed him, you provide his security and you lead him where you want to go whenever you go out. All of this signals your dog that you are his alpha, and in return, his natural tendency is to help you and follow your commands.

Not training your dog and giving him enough commands will make him feel lazy, not needed and will bore the living daylights out of him. Imagine if you were unemployed your entire life - that's exactly how a dog feels if he isn't trained enough from day to day.

But with a few training commands a day, you can keep him sharp and mentally fit.
